I’m paying cash!

It’s so easy these days to pull out our credit cards to pay for the small things: groceries, gas, bills. On top of that, it is easy to purchase something impulsively because you have the card sitting there. But how much do you really need those items?

All these small payments add up and you end up losing track and purchasing something you don’t really need, and paying interest. I often get signed up to credit cards for the points. What is really the cost when you pay annual fees and interest? I’ve paid my fair wack of interest in my time and I have resolved to make this stop!

This month I’m going to pay for everything in cash: bills, groceries, gas, clothes, whatever else I need to pay for. Whenever I do not have the cash for it, I will not buy it! I’ll let you know how much money I save by being more savvy with my credit cards. No doubt this is going to be challenging but I will do this!

Have any of you done this before? Have you found this effective? What other ways have people saved or controlled their credit cards rather than having their credit cards rule them. Tell me your stories of this!
